Terms of Service
Effective September 15, 2026 · TheNetTicket is operated by TheNetVR.
The rules for using TheNetTicket, whether you are buying a ticket or selling them. In short: venues sell, we run the ticketing, and a ticket is a promise of entry at a specific time.
1. Who we are and what this covers
TheNetTicket ("the Platform", "we", "us") is a ticketing service for timed-entry attractions, operated by TheNetVR ("the Operator"). These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Platform: people buying tickets ("Buyers"), and the businesses that list events and sell tickets through it ("Venues"). By buying a ticket, creating a venue account, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
2. The Venue is the seller
The Platform is a marketplace. When you buy a ticket, you are buying it from the Venue, not from us. The Venue sets the prices, the entry times, the capacity, the age limits and the rules of admission; the Venue is responsible for putting on the event; and the Venue is the party that takes your payment (see section 4) and issues refunds (see the Refund Policy).
We provide the technology: the event page, checkout, ticket delivery, and the scanners at the door. We are not the promoter, organiser or operator of any event, and we do not control whether an event happens, what it is like, or who is admitted.
3. Tickets and entry times
- A ticket admits one person to one event at a specific entry time, which is the window in which you may arrive. Arriving after your window closes may mean waiting for space or being refused entry, at the Venue's discretion.
- Your ticket is a QR code delivered by email and on a web page linked from that email. The QR code is the ticket. Whoever presents it first is admitted; a second presentation of the same code is refused. Treat it as you would cash and do not share screenshots of it.
- You are responsible for entering a correct email address at checkout. Tickets are sent there, and it is how they are recovered if lost.
- Tickets may not be resold above face value, bought by automated means, or offered as prizes in unlicensed lotteries, unless the Venue permits it in writing.
4. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe on the Venue's behalf and appear on your statement under the Venue's name or a descriptor it has chosen. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are shown in the Venue's currency and are inclusive of the Venue's charges; any taxes are the Venue's responsibility to set and remit. Tickets sold at the door are paid to the Venue directly, by whatever method it accepts.
5. Refunds, cancellations and changes
Refunds are decided and issued by the Venue under our Refund Policy. If a Venue cancels an event or an entry time, the Venue must refund affected tickets or offer an alternative you are free to decline in favour of a refund. We may issue a refund on a Venue's behalf where we consider it necessary, but we are not obliged to.
6. Attending an event
Many events on the Platform are attractions with physical elements: darkness, confined spaces, loud noise, strobe lighting, actors, uneven ground. You attend at your own risk, subject to the Venue's own safety rules, waivers and age restrictions, which the Venue is responsible for communicating and enforcing. Any claim arising from your attendance is a matter between you and the Venue.
7. Venue accounts
If you operate a Venue on the Platform, you additionally agree that:
- Everything you publish (titles, descriptions, images, prices, entry times, capacities) is accurate, is yours to publish, and complies with the law where the event takes place.
- You will honour every valid ticket sold through the Platform, admit ticket holders within their entry window, and not oversell beyond the capacity you set.
- You are responsible for refunds, for your own terms of admission, for all licences, permits, insurance and taxes, and for the safety of your event.
- Payments reach you through a Stripe account you control and are subject to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. We charge a platform fee per ticket, disclosed in your dashboard, deducted from each sale.
- Staff accounts you create act on your behalf. You are responsible for who you give access to and for removing it when they leave.
- Buyer information you receive through the Platform may be used only to run the event the buyer bought a ticket for, and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the law.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use the Platform to commit fraud, to buy tickets with bots or scripts, to probe or overload our systems, to forge or duplicate tickets, to scrape data, or to do anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate access, cancel tickets, and withhold payouts where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken.
9. Our service
We work to keep the Platform available and accurate, especially during on-sales and at the door, but it is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not responsible for failures caused by your device, your network, your email provider, or the Venue.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for anything arising from an event itself. Our total liability to any Buyer in connection with a purchase is limited to the price paid for that purchase; our total liability to a Venue in any twelve months is limited to the platform fees that Venue paid us in that period. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
Venues agree to indemnify the Operator against claims, losses and costs arising from their events, their listings, their treatment of buyers, or their breach of these Terms.
12. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software and its branding belong to the Operator. Venues keep ownership of their names, images and event content, and grant us a licence to display them for the purpose of selling their tickets.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top tells you when. Changes apply to purchases and use after that date; a ticket you already hold stays governed by the Terms in force when you bought it.
